Creating Pixel Text Tutorial
This tutorial will show you how to create pixel text on Paint Shop Pro.
Step 1
Open a blank image on PSP and fill it with your desired pixel outline colour. The colour is usually a darker colour than your text colour. For example, I'll be going with a dark blue outline and light blue pixel text.
Step 2
Select the text tool and a pixel font (find some here, 04b_03 font is awesome). The best font size varies from font to font, but 6px is the most common (6px is used for 04b_03). Redensek font looks good in 10px. If your pixel font looks disfigured or unreadable change the size. Make sure the text is created as floating!
Step 3
Click on Selections -> Modify -> Expand and expand it by 1px.
Step 4
Zoom into the text so it's easier to see and select the paint brush tool then the square 1px brush. Choose an even lighter colour for the highlights (for me, I'll be using light light blue!). Now begin to 'dot' the top left hand corner of your text, not the outline! It should look like this:Now you can do whatever you want with it - save it, or use it in a graphic!
